Coming Soon...

The anticipated "Single Syndrome" blog post coming soon.......... :)

Faith Without Works is...

You say that you're faithful but what do you have to show for it? Today, in my weekly bible study, I learned something that very much change my outlook on my work ethic and rather increased my will power to accomplish my goals from a whole other level.
"In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." ~James 2:17
I may say that I want to be successful, yet, am I putting in the hard work to achieve it? The formula for success is rather simple to explain and understand, however it takes a dedicated individual to put it into existence.
Fear cannot be apart of a successful person's vocabulary. If you are afraid to take the risk, then success can never be achieved.
Obligation is what a successful person must feel in order to have the discipline to complete the works behind the blessing of faith. To break this down, let's say you are in college and to be a successful college student, what needs to be done? Most would agree that studying, reading the material, attending class ON TIME, engaging in discussion, asking questions, etc. are aspects that need to be done in order to be a successful college student. Some people do not know how to function in this way and their grades may reflect it.
Success is not something to drop on your head and automatically be learned, yet it takes hard work, dedication, obligation, and a focused individual to bring it into fruition.
So what steps are you taking to achieve your goals and success in your life?
Are your works backing up your faith or is it simply words that become dead?

Life, Dreams, Beginnings

I woke up this morning, and I dreamed the inevitable. I dreamed what I solemnly fear, but it very much could be reality. An angel left me, leaving me with only words that were too true  in itself. Then I woke up to my reality and felt no different from the dream. Solemnly fearful of the inevitable with a bit of unrelenting acceptance. I closed my eyes once more to try and change the dream, but reality had already set in with my mother's kiss on the forehead before leaving for work. I looked at my phone, iPhone to be exact ☺, and began thinking I need to start my day off right. For me, it is prayer. A few minutes with myself and God thanking him for what I have and asking for things I do not. Often times, how you start your day affects how it's finished. So how do you start your day? I think time with yourself and no technological distractions is so important for peace of mind. This day and age we don't get enough of that. It's destroying families, relationships, and a cause of numerous deaths as Oprah continuously pounds into our brains everyday in her talk show. So as I finish my bowl of cereal, my thoughts, and this blog posts, I will leave you with this quote...

The beginning is the foundation of the end, therefore the beginning is the end because there is always an end to begin anew.  ~Me
